  • A new transport hub
  • Redevelopment of the Portersfield area of Dudley town centre
  • Road improvements

Flood Street/King Street

As part of the ongoing construction of phase one of the Wednesbury to Brierley Hill Metro extension to Dudley, King Street will close at the junction with Flood Street from Monday 11 March 2024 until mid-May 2024.

The closure will enable the Midland Metro Alliance to safely carry out works to upgrade and install utilities in the area, as well as new lighting columns, kerbing, paving and resurfacing activities.

Access to all frontages on King Street West will be maintained at all times, while the
service yard for Churchill Shopping Centre will be accessible from the Flood Street side of the closure.
