It’s easy to get around the West Midlands by train
Our rail network is one of the biggest outside London. There are regular trains to Birmingham Airport.
It’s also easy to get to London, Manchester, Scotland and Wales from the West Midlands. You can find a train timetable for your journey online.

Get a refund for a delayed train
If your train is delayed, you might be able to get a refund. This is called Delay Repay.
The amount you’ll get depends on:
- how long your train was delayed for
- which operator you travelled with
It does not matter what type of ticket you bought. Different operators have different rules for refunds.

Changes to step-free access at The Hawthorns
Network Rail is replacing both lifts at The Hawthorns rail and Metro station to improve journeys for passengers.
Work is due to finish in Spring 2021. While work is underway, there will be no step-free access available.
