Get cheaper travel to work

Workwise 50% off travel to work

You could get half-price travel to work (including apprenticeships) if you’re:

  • starting a new job after being unemployed or made redundant
  • increasing your hours to 16 or more per week in a job you already have

Workwise travel support gives you half-price travel to work for 3 months. You’ll get discounted 4-week tickets. You can travel by:

  • nNetwork - tickets for bus, train and tram combined
  • nBus - combined tickets for all bus operators
  • National Express bus
  • tram (West Midlands Metro)

You must be:

  • between 16 and 65 years old

You can also apply if you're working 16 hours or more per week and you're:

  • self-employed

You must live at a property where council tax is paid to one of these councils:

You can still apply if you’re living outside one of these council areas. You’ll need to be registered with a Jobcentre in one of these areas.

You can apply once per financial year. This is between 1 April and 31 March. You can only apply once for each job. If you get a new job in a new financial year, you can apply again.
