Information for Teachers

We are working closely with Local Authorities and transport operators across the region to ensure that you are prepared for the journey back to school this September.

Journeys for staff, your students and their parents will be different whilst adhering to government advice on social distancing.

How we are helping

We will be offering a number of resources to support you in communicating the changes with teachers, students and parents/guardians. We will also be working directly with schools most affected by the changes to travel.

We have created a toolkit designed to help you communicate the changes.

You can download the toolkit resources here:

Our team have created some online resources to help you speak to students about journey planning and how things have changed since the start of the pandemic:

Online transition to college workshop

Online transition to secondary school workshop

We will also be arranging journey planning clinics. To register your interest in these and to be kept up-to-date with our plans, please fill in the form on this page.

Please include any initial concerns you may have on the return to school in September relating to transport and any plans your school may be considering regarding staggering school times.
